Wheelie is an essential character to the plot of the films. At first, he is working for the Decepticons out of fear for his life, but later sides with the Autobots. He spies on Mikaela and reports back to Soundwave. In the third film, he is joined by Brains, and they team up to bring down the mother ship of the Decepticons over Chicago.
