The words on the rear fender describe Barricade’s true motivation. He is an evil police car with the ability to deceive humans into believing he is a good cop.  Barricade is the perfect match to fight Bumblebee. Being a muscle car, he is approximately equal in size to the yellow Camaro. He is among the first on the trail of Sam Witwicky and his glasses which contain the secret location of the All-Spark cube. His minion, Frenzy, ejects from Barricade’s chest to chase down Sam and Mikaela. Barricade is  beaten and close to death in the first film, but returns in the second film in the forest battle against Optimus Prime.
