Blackout is the first transformer the audience sees in the first film. He attacks a base in Qatar and steals sensitive information about Sector-7. He destroys the base and attempts to leave no survivors, but when some of the American troops escape, he ejects his minion Scorpinok to chase them down. Blackout is brought down in the final battle of the first film, by a combined attack from the Autobots and the US soldiers. He receives that final blow from Colonel Lennox, who slides underneath Blackout’s legs and shoots a grenade at his chest while riding a motorcycle. Blackout falls in cinematic fashion only to return in Revenge of the Fallen to battle Optimus Prime in the forest battle. Prime does kill Blackout for sure in this battle by removing his head.
