Equiped with his drilling machine, Shockwave is the new bad guy in the third installment of the Transformers franchise. The cycloptic Decepticon uses his drilling machine to wreak havoc on the city of Chicago. His drilling device destroys much of the city in defense of the Decepticon weapon to bring Cybertron closer to Earth. The humans attempt to foil the Decepticon plan from a tall building, which draws the attention of the driller. The building becomes the target of the driller and the humans go on a wild ride inside and out of the slowly toppling building. The driller is eventually destroyed by Optimus Prime, who comes in flying to dismantle the driller machine and save the humans from imminent death. Optimus Prime then sets his sights on Shockwave himself, winning the battle by ripping out Shockwave’s optics.
