The Fallen was one of the primes of Cybertron, but was outcast when he tried to destroy life on primitive Earth with the Solar Harvester. This weapon destroys stars and harvests their energy. It is powered by the Matrix of Leadership, so the other primes hid the Matrix on Earth in the ruins in Egypt. Megatron pledges allegiance to The Fallen, and they search for the Solar Harvester. When Devastator destroys the pyramid around the weapon, The Fallen steals the Matrix and activates the machine. Optimus Prime then has to fight both Megatron and The Fallen atop the pyramid with all kinds of debris flying around. The Fallen is killed in this battle while Megatron escapes with some battle damage.
