Sam’s dad is the one who unknowingly bought him Bumblebee as a gift for getting good grades. He’s the head of the neighborhood watch, but not a very good one, since Sam’s car was stolen in the middle of the night. The Autobots come looking for his great-grandfather’s glasses that will show them the location of the All-Spark. After the defeat of Megatron and The Deceptions, both Ron and his wife Judy during a news interview feign ignorance about there having been an alien invasion.
