Brawl was originally named Devastator in early drafts of the script, and even calls himself Devastator in translated subtitles in the film. He is featured heavily in the final battle of the first film. He puts up quite a fight, and looks very mean with his arsenal of canons and missiles. In a nod to the animated Transformers film of 1986, he has his tank barrel lifted at the last second by Jazz to miss his target. In the 1986 animated film, Kup pulls the same stunt with to the triple changer, Blitzwing. In the final battle, Brawl, makes lots of things explode before getting beaten by the combined force of Bumblebee and Mikaela. With Bumblebee losing his legs in this battle, Mikaela straps him to the back of a tow truck and tells him to shoot while she drives. Their first target Brawl, takes several shots from Bumblebee’s blasters before falling.
